We are so, so happy with our nanny share. The other family is great and we are pretty much always on the same page. The nanny is wonderful and is great with both LOs. I love that the LOs get to play with each other everyday but they still get pretty individualized attention and get to go on outings to the park and library. I also love that our nanny is never sick, rarely late - dependability is a huge must have for me in household employees!

R loves "school" and the teachers are lovely. She eats, goes potty for them and naps in a room of 10 other kids for 2 hours. It's been a great experience for us!

I've been so happy with our childcare.
When we needed a daycare for J when my husband went back to work, I called an old friend that had worked with EI for a recommendation. Turns out, she was recently licensed and was operating an in home daycare a few blocks away!
Now he's in preschool and the teacher is so incredibly sweet. She sends me photos during the day and most importantly J is so happy there.

I loved daycare and now preschool. My son is an only child (for 14 more days anyway) and only grandchild. Until he was 18 months my mom watched him. He really needed to be around other kids and he has done and learned a lot more than he would have if I had kept him home.

DS LOVES his daycare. This morning when we got out of the car he started chatting and wiggling with excitement. Last week when I dropped him off I waved and said goodbye - he waved back, said "bye-bye!" and got right back to playing.

DD has almost always loved going to "school" 3 days a week. The teachers always have fun activities for the kids to do - more than I would ever think of if I stayed at home. My parents watch her the other 2 days and my mom loves taking her to the zoo, museum, etc. I've always been so happy that DD gets a little of both - school and staying home with her grandparents. It's really been the perfect situation for us.

I love that they do special things that are just slightly out of the norm. These things mean a lot to me - like they take their afternoon snack outside for a picnic or they play in a sprinkler when it's really hot outside.

My dad and FIL watch LO one day/week each, and he goes to school 3 days/week.

I love that DS is so close to my dad and FIL. He gets so excited when he sees them, and they have their own routine. Just the other day, I was looking out my home office window to see my dad and son sitting on our patio having lunch together, and it was just an adorable sight!

On the other hand, his teachers at school clearly love him as much as he loves them. He waves goodbye to me every day he's there and practically shoos me out the door. Whenever he gets hurt there (scraped knee or whatever), he talks about how this teacher or that teacher picked him up and gave him kisses and held him while he cried. It warms my heart to know that he's being taken care of so well.

He also really has a ton of fun at school. He talks about seeing all of his friends and what they did that day. Again, just makes me feel really great about the place that we chose to send him.

Our daycare/preschool plans such great activities for the kids. Tomorrow is their "Prom" they ask all the kids to "dress up" and they have a DJ and balloon arch and little party. At the end of summer they do a luau. Its such a happy place and the teachers are worth their weight in gold.

The women at our daycare center always have a smile on their faces. I can imagine it gets hectic and tiring around there, but whenever I am picking up my son, I am greeted with a smile. Makes me feel like he sees smiles throughout the day. I also love the art projects they do with the kids. I'm really happy with our daycare center.

I know we've got a lot of mamas here with various child care arrangements but I though it would be fun to inject a little happy into our morning. It's easy to share problems but sometimes we forget to share the good parts too.
I am eternally grateful for our Pre-school/daycare providers. I spent total of 2 years on maternity leave with my kids and practically danced my way back to work after my second year. No matter how crabby E is dropping her off, the preschool director is always so patient and redirects her so quickly and easily. It's like magic! And the ladies in the infant room with A are so warm and kind, she loves going to 'school'.
What do you love about whoever helps you with childcare, be it friends, family daycare preschool or whatever!
