we love kalbi jjim (korean short ribs) in the crockpot! here's the recipe from kimchi mamas:
Kalbi Jjim

2 1/2 lb. lean short ribs (Buy regular short ribs, not the kind that are thinly sliced for grilling.)

1/2 cup water

1/2 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup sugar

3 cloves garlic, peeled and minced

2 onions, peeled and sliced into lengths

a handful of baby carrots

1 T. toasted sesame seeds

10 fresh mushrooms

1/2 cup of chestnuts (Peeling them is kind of a pain, so I recommend getting the already-peeled kind.)

Cut between ribs to separate them and remove visible fat. Put the ribs, garlic, and water in the crockpot, and cook for four hours on low. Add remaining ingredients, and cook for four more hours, or until ribs are fork-tender. Skim fat off the top before serving.

@regberadaisy: @yoursilverlining: I make eggs in the microwave all the time, haha. I just crack it in a small bowl, mix it up with a little bit of milk, salt, pepper, and then put it in a shallow dish. Microwave ~30 second intervals until it is cooked through. Comes out sorta like a thin omelette. Good for a quick breakfast!

@regberadaisy: I've never actually done it (we don't have a microwave) but I've heard its easy to make scrambled and over-hard eggs like in breakfast sandwiches. :)

@Mrs Checkers: that sounds delish!!! Does it come out salty at all due to the soy sauce? I would be inclined to add sugar to cut some of the saltiness?

Soy sauce chicken recipe (you can do this stovetop or crockpot)

Ingredients -
chicken thighs or drumsticks (I usually cook 8-10 thighs)
2 russet potatoes
4-5 carrots
1 medium white onion
8 cloves of garlic
2 tbsp sugar
1-2 tbsp sesame oil
2/3 cup of soy sauce

*optional - you can add sesame seeds or hot chili flakes

Directions -

PREP-
grate the carrots and potatoes
chop potatoes into cubes
slice the carrots
chop the onion (large pieces are okay, don't mince or dice the onion)
if you use chicken thighs, cut the extra fat off of them
mince the garlic

COOK -
throw everything into a pot - i usually put the chicken in first, then everything else
add soy sauce, sesame oil, and sugar (and *hot chili flakes* if you want it spicier)
heat on HIGH for about 4 hours in a crockpot

DONE! serve with rice.

Here's some ideas:

Pizza on the grill (I haven’t tried this yet myself, but I’ve heard it can be done!)
Grilled salmon with brown rice and grilled veggie
Tacos – grill up steak for carne asada, or cook up white fish for fish tacos – steam tortillas in microwave, heat up beans in microwave
Pulled pork in crockpot, toast buns in toaster
Burgers/hotdogs/veggie burgers
Italian sausage and peppers/onion on the grill
Fish and veggies on the grill
Egg sandwich – cook egg in microwave, toast English muffin in toaster
Honey chicken in crockpot, serve over rice
BBQ chicken and cole slaw

You can always get a couple of cheapie pans (in case the bottoms get ruined), and use those on a grill as you would on a stove.

BJs and Costco usually have some good and different burger options like salmon and mahi mahi burgers. Serve those with a variety of toppings: avocado, pineapple salsa, etc.

We are moving this weekend (woot!) but will be without a stove for about a month.

We have a few regular recipes in our repertoire that does not require a stove or oven but would love some more.

We have a grill, tabletop grill, crockpot, toaster, rotisserie and rice cooker. There is a side burner on the grill for little stuff. And oh we'll be getting a microwave soon.
