I make one for LO almost every morning. Our very basic everyday recipe is 1/2 banana, a handful of baby spinach, and about 1/2 cup of whole milk. Sometimes I add honey if he's sick.

my family and I really love this one:

-1 peeled orange
-1/2 banana
-1 cup of pineapple chunks
-2 handfuls of spinach
-teaspoon of honey
-1 small wedge of lime, like 1/4 inch width (this adds just the perfect hint of tang..)
-1.5 -2 cups of ice
-1 teaspoon of flax seed (optional)
blend and serve!

I always make basically the same one, which keeps it simple. 8-10oz water, 6 oz plain Greek yogurt, 1c spinach, banana, 1/4c each of 4 types of fruit - usually strawberry, peach, pineapple, cherry. Those really cover up the spinach. I use all frozen produce except for the banana. I've started prepping a bunch of the frozen stuff at once in quart bags so there's no measuring in the morning.

I like to take 1/2 a banana, some frozen fruit (love frozen cherries!), various greens (most often baby kale and spinach), almond milk and water, some chia seed and ground flax. YUM!

@Ash: I sometimes drink mine in the afternoon too and they are fine. Sometimes its in the fridge and sometimes I leave it out. Both seem fine. I put them in ball jars for storage. Sometimes I even leave them in the fridge for a couple of days and they are still fine.

@Ash: My basic is that I put in a banana, carrots, frozen fruit, kale, and then I just add water - I figure I don't need the extra calories or additives in fruit juice or milk products. Sometimes I add other stuff if its around, like yesterday I put in an avocado. I drink them almost every day and so do my LOs!

We eat green shakes every morning. My favorite "recipe" is baby spinach, a banana, some frozen pineapple and mango pieces, and a combo of coconut and almond milk.

My fav is one I adapted from a popular vegan cafe in NYC - called the Green Power Smoothie.

It's 1 banana, 1 cored pear, big handful of kale, a spoonful of almond butter, and almond milk for the liquid. It's super yummy and the green taste is not overwhelming.

I grab a bag of frozen fruit from Costco, add some fruit and some fruit juice then a handful of two of fresh spinach. I would taste the fruit smoothie part first to check to make sure the smoothie is sweet enough. Then keep tasting after you add a handful of spinach. The spinach will change the taste but as long as you don't put a ton of spinach (like I did once), the smoothies taste like a fruit smoothie.

This is the bag I get from Costco. I make a big batch of smoothies at once and freeze them in mason jars. I think I paid $8 for the fruit and $5 for the spinach and got 15 cups worth.
