We ended up having a girl so she wore a dress that was mine when I was a baby. It was newborn sized and had short sleeves and a bonnet. Our boy outfit was a newborn size dressy romper with matching hat. We will be returning it and getting something girly. Just a note- if you shop at a specialty store (we did for the boys outfit) see if they give cash back or exchange only.
