We bought the Ikea Kura reversible twin bed and plan to have DD transitioned to the "top bunk" by the time they are ready to share so we can put a twin mattress with barriers on the "bottom bunk" aka floor bed for #2. This is all just what I'd like but DD is also a light sleeper so I'm not sure how it will work. So, we'll have the baby in our room for a while, then move him/her into a mini-crib in the office or our closet (it's a big walk-in) until sleep is reliable.
