@karenbme: Awesome to know you never needed braces. I'm wondering how the two little new teeth are going to squeeze into the space left by the baby teeth.

@KT326: So crazy how kids get braces multiple times now!

@nana87: So cute she just lost her first tooth! I was just a tad shocked for my girl to lose two in one day a month before she turns 5.

Lo1 has major shark teeth on her bottom middle front teeth! She’s 7 and just finally lost her first tooth a week ago. Our dentist wasn’t concerned at all

Not my kid, but this happened with my top canines when I was little. As others have said, totally fine. I never even needed braces.

Yup! This happened to my 7-year-old a few months ago...her front ones weren't loose at ALL and two came in behind them. Once the baby teeth finally fell out (with quite a lot of wiggling encouragement), those behind them moved into place. She hasn't lost any other teeth since. Her mouth is crowded, but the adult teeth are taking over the baby ones and pushing them out of the way.

Yup, same thing happened with my oldest. He is 9 and we are going to be finishing up his first round of braces in the next few months.

This happened with both of DD’s bottom middle teeth. Her adult teeth continued to grow and shifted into the proper place. DH happened to have a dentist appointment shortly after DD’s first tooth came out and she gave him a timeline and told us to call if they hadn’t started shifting. I can’t remember if it was two or three months, but it ended up not being an issue.

My almost 5 year old just lost both bottom front teeth on the same day. She already has the two big girl teeth about a quarter of the way in. So she had shark teeth going on for a little bit. Now, the baby teeth are out and the two new teeth are coming in set back behind the rest of the teeth. Did this happen with anyone else's kid? Our routine dentist appointment isn't for another 3.5 months.
