lo is a girl here, so I don't think that we'll be shaving her head, but my brother is 12.5 years younger than me & we used to shave his head all the time when he was little! I don't have any tips as I was never involved in the actual shaving, but he was always so proud of his little bare head & was so much cooler in the summer. and it was super cute.

So we will shave LO's head in 2 weeks (when he'll be 7.5 months) as a Hindu ritual where the priest cuts off a lock and then we do the rest. He has this bald spot in the back where he rubs his head while he sleeps, and the top middle is thick and much longer than all the rest. We could wait until he's older but I can't trim it at all until we do the official shave which is driving me crazy, I am constantly brushing hair out of his eyes!

Has anybody shaved their LO's head? I think I would like to be the one to do it since I doubt barbers have much experience with infants anyway. I cut DH's hair but was never taught, I just figured it out. Just looking for any tips or stories :) I plan to get some lightweight cordless clippers since the ones I use for DH are pretty heavy, I don't want to bonk him on the head by accident!
