It's so annoying..yes! If LO so much as squeaks, everyone is like "he's hungry!"
Problem is: my son has terrible reflux so if we over-feed him, he will spit it all up :/ People don't get that

My mom just doesn't know why baby/kids cry in general. This is more in relation to bratty crying. It's as if I never acted up ... hmmm, maybe I never did. :)

Yes! All the time. And since I'm breastfeeding my mom says, "Are you sure she got enough?"

DS is 19 months old now, but my in laws try to force food and milk all day long! They haven't grasped that he has a schedule all week and that he is clearly not starving since he weighs 35 lbs at less than 20 months of age!! It annoys me because I know DS isn't hungry all the time and I hate the constant comments about what he did or did not eat. As well as my FIL's attempts to make DS eat, like putting whipped cream on grapes to entice him. Seriously, wtf?

Yes--- I feel like every time my mom or MIL hear LO make a noise, they assume she's hungry. We're trying so hard to develop a healthy relationship with food for her (especially since ours STINKS) so I don't want to fall into the trap of feeding her to keep her busy when she's cranky. Or constant snacking between and after meals.

Yes my mom is like that too! She used to pay for lo's formula so I would let her make a bottle knowing full well and telling her that lo would just reject it and push it away because she wasn't hungry and it would go to waste. But she was wasting her own money and it made her happy so what evs.

I talked to my mom on FaceTime earlier today after breakfast. LO was squealing and pulling at my hair and glasses so my mom told me to go feed her because she was acting hungry...lol! My mom thinks everything is due to hunger when it comes to LO!

Do your parents think your LO is hungry if they make a noise or cry?
