It was most definitely traumatizing, she woke absolutely fine this morning, no redness, no rubbing. Thank goodness. She is our daredevil and I told my husband afterwards that I'm expecting her to be the first to break a bone (my oldest hasn't, and his two daughters haven't either). She's already gotten into so much and she's only 19 months!!

I got Mr. Clean in my eyes when I was a baby. My mom still talks about it, but it definitely traumatized her more than me!

Glad she is ok! You did the right thing by flushing the eye out...my dad got gasoline in my eye once as a kid (long lawnmower story) and flushing w/water made it all better! And a popsicle. :)

Omg! I was cleaning the seat of her highchair and set the bottle of 409 on the table next to me, she grabbed it and sprayed it before I could get it from her. I feel like the worst Mom in the world right now. My husband grabbed her and flushed her eye out under the kitchen sink for 5 minutes. The bottle says rinse for 15-20 minutes, those 5 minutes were nearly impossible. After 10 minutes of hugs she's back to normal, a little red, and now asleep. She seems to have peripheral vision and was laughing, and dancing afterwards. So scary, I just wanna cry.
