@BabyBoecksMom: Eek! I hope it doesn't last that long. It's a good thing she's so cute :)

@NerdBee: We're definitely planning on getting out of the house this week! It will be a little warmer this week, so I'll be even more eager.

@Bao: I could definitely get a babysitter, but I feel bad subjecting someone to this much fussiness! We live 12-15 hours away from any family, so that's not an option... If it were I wouldn't feel bad about subjecting them to it, at all :)

Is there anyone who could watch LO for a few hours so you can get out for a bit, and catch a break?

LO just went through this and I think it was a wonder week thing. Brownie gave me a really useful link: http://www.thewonderweeks.com/index.php/about-the-wonder-weeks/your-babys-10-leaps/mental-leap-6

There's not much I could do about the bad sleeping except for trying to minimize overtiredness by watching awake times but when he got really cranky while awake, I found that it helped to take him out shopping or on play dates. He loves observing things so it was a good distraction for him and kept him from being too cranky. It also helped me to get out of the house too!

DD was the same way about that time and it lasted until she was about 10.5 months. DH and I were going nuts! She went through a lot developmentally around that time and it just took some time for her to get over it. I hope it turns around faster than it did for us.

Things that did help were getting outside and having a new change of scenery to distract her.

LO (8 months) is usually very happy, easy going, fun to be around. In the past week she as turned into a whiny, fussy, not sleeping, crazy person. I'm exhausted. I think she may be teething, but not sure. DH tries to help, but there's only do much he can do. Plus, he has work and home responsibilities that we can't switch so I can ate a break. All I know is that I'm just about ready to pull my hair out! What do you do when your LO drives you absolutely crazy?
