I agree with others that you might want to try something with a leather sole. They use the splay of their feet and their toes for balance and with a lot of shoes it's a big adjustment to compensate for lack of access to those things. I've tried 3 different pairs of shoes and he hates them. Either refuses to walk or when he tries, it's like he forgot to walk. He stumbles all the time. Maybe they are too big? Too heavy? Or is it just something he has to get used to? </p>
