DS wears Stride Right SRT SM sneakers. He runs around really well in them and they had wide sizes for his hobbit feet. He's 14 months and has been walking about 2 months.

With DD1 we did SKR Smaller.
With DD2 she has itty bitty feet and is too small (size two) for early walker shoes but is exclusively walking and getting increasingly frustrated that I won't let her walk at the park. Robeez are crap for baby feet on wet or muddy surfaces.

We did stride rite too, especially cause LO has thick feet and could get wides.

I like stride rite. If you sign up on their website you can get 20% off your first purchase (even on sale items) and free shipping. I like them because DS has wide feet and they stay put :) Also, once he got a handle on the walking thing, he was all about running and constantly being outside (even though it's cold he still wants to go out) so I look for shoes with a thickish sole.

Around that stage I got stride rite soft motion- the sole is sturdy enough to walk outside a lot, but still super flexible for a new walker. I'm sure other brands have something similar but I think stride rite might be the most affordable? She still only wore shoes outside and just did socks (with grippy bottoms) or bare feet inside.

We liked See Kai Run Smaller and Stride Rite SRT at the early walker stage. Keep in mind once they start walking alot, those shoes will wear out quickly (our Smallers basically got shredded).

I liked the Stride Right SRT Soft Motion shoes when DD was first walking. They are sturdy enough for outdoor use but still very flexible. The plain old SRT are good once they get a little older and more confident, as are the Pediped Grip and Go (we've had and liked both).

We used PediPed Grip n Go for that age, she really wanted to walk and I wanted to make sure she had a decent sole.

DS has been walking for about 4 months now and we are moving from summer sandals (PediPed originals) and moccasins to some winter shoes. I've had him in really minimal shoes so far and am wondering if I should kick it up (pun intended) to real sneakers? See Kai Run? PediPed Grip n Go? Stride Rite? Something else? Or keep with the minimalist shoes?

Thanks!
