Especially when he started standing. Coincidentally, it was winter too so they doubled as slippers to keep him warm. Once he was walking for about a month and about to start daycare we bought him a pair of Geox runners. We also looked at some See Kai Run and Pediped which are often recommended but the fit was best with the Geox.</p> <p>I agree that you don't need to worry about outdoor walking shoes for winter. LO has been walking now for almost 4 months and I still think he will have trouble in snow. What are the developmental reasons for that? At what point are they supposed to switch to regular soles?</p> <p>I have a 6.5mo who is already crawling and getting better at it every day. (This is terrifying, but that's a separate topic!) I have the feeling he might be an early walker because is just so damn eager to do it. I need to figure out how to keep his feet warm during the winter in northern NJ.</p> <p>Suggestions for cute, warm, age appropriate footwear are welcome! </p>
