@avivoca: that's what I ended up doing. She tried on some size 4s today and they are roomy, but not too big. I'm hoping she can wear the shoes I bought through the season. I know they can hit growth spurts and go through shoe sizes quickly though!

@twodoghouse: I thought the petals looked a little narrow. I'll have to wait until she's older to buy those. I did get some cute ones from SKR though!

I love SKR shoes. They have some really cute ones. I do love those Petals though! If she is a 3.5, you might as well get a size four and get a little more wear out of them.

@Mrs. Pickle: I find L&L shoes run wide anyway, so they might work for her. Pios and hedgies are wider than the Petals, though. When A first started walking I tried out a bunch of brands just to see what works for her foot shape. Of course it seems to change every time she outgrows a size!

@GreenThumb: that's so rude! I didn't think of Zappos. Great idea, thanks!

@MommySLP: those are cute!

@travelgirl1: we do. I had no idea they sold kids shoes. I'll look there.

@catlady: my friend just brought over some SKR smallers in a size 4 and they actually fit well. I'm going to see what else they have.

Thanks for the suggestions! We tried a size 4 shoe on today and it fits pretty well so that opens up a lot more options.

My LO has wide feet. At that size, she was mostly walking indoors so we stuck with See Kai Run smaller. They are sort of in between soft and hard soles, and we loved them. At a certain point, we switched to regular See Kai Run but didn't have nearly as much luck with those so we moved to stride right (and the target brand stride rite, which doesn't have wides but have mostly fit her foot anyway). I'm not a huge fan of their sneakers but she always has a pair or two of stride rite mary janes. Also, not cute, but crocs are great for wide feet. For sandals, we have used merrell (not sure if they come that small though).

I haven't tried too many other brands, but New Balance definitely did not work (way too narrow, even in a size up).

Do you have Clarkes in the US? I saw them in Canada, but it's where we got DS's super wide shoes from and they had lots of choice. Lots of nice stuff for girls too.

@Mrs. Pickle: I actually had the same problem with DD when she was first measured. The lady at Stride Rite actually told me to come back when she was a little older/walking more - that she would slim down :shocked: . Let's just say I did not give them my business. But that aside... we ended up with Pedipeds for her first real shoes. Honestly, I ordered a bunch of different things from Zappos just to see what brand/size fit her best since I could just return what didn't work. She never did end up actually needing a wide. :goodluck:

I am struggling to find shoes for DD for the fall. She's been walking for a couple months now and doesn't need a soft sole. I got her fitted at Stride Rite today and she's a size 3.5 wide. I can't seem to find anything with a normal sole that's cute in that size. I'm very picky, which doesn't help. I would love to find two or three pairs of shoes in neutral colors that she can wear with all her outfits. I'm attaching pictures of what I would buy if they came in size either a wide or smaller than a size 4. Any ideas?
