@MaryM: Dansko clogs in a wide width (to accommodate thick socks for warmth). They are pricey, but you can wear them forever, and the support can't be beat.

@DesertDreams88: I think if mine weren't the kind with fur also on the outside, I'd be SUPER more tempted to wear them in public.

These would look really odd in the office https://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/18664?feat=503422-GN3&page=women-s-wicked-good-moccasins&csp=f

@SweetCaroline: I'm currently wearing something similar to Born (I've had those in the past), but they just don't quite cover enough of my foot. I'm not sure I want to shell out the money for born clogs...but maybe I'll keep that in mind if the slip ons (Tom knockoffs) I ordered end up not being comfortable or warm enough.

Admittedly it's mostly teenagers, but I see people wearing mocassins in public all the time. What about a pair of these in black which might be less obviously mocs? https://www.target.com/p/women-s-chaia-suede-moccasin-slippers-mossimo-supply-co-153/-/A-52201688#lnk=sametab&preselect=52129660

Agree with others that you get a pass and just wear whatever works!

I have some suede padded clogs, sort of like Danskos, that I wear to work. They are my regular work shoes, but they still work during pregnancy because they are wide and roomy.

@DesertDreams88: Agreed, if anyone commented on my footwear at this point I would give them a death-stare and dare them to say it again.
My sister had insanely swollen feet in the summer time at a very corporate/conservative accounting firm with very strict dress code and she basically told them they could allow her to come to work in flip flops or she'd work from home for the last 2 months of pregnancy. They let her come in flip flops.

This might sound crazy but what about a sized-up pair of shiny patent-looking rain boots? It sounds like you wear wider leg/boot cut pants vs skinny so maybe they'd be slimmer than uggs and the pants could fit over?
Something like this (these ones even have the stretch/goring on the sides):
https://www.zappos.com/p/sam-edelman-tinsley-black/product/8605266/color/3?ef_id=U1XehgAABXYZjVtl:20180119020347:s

I had a Feb baby and I bought a pair of Born shoes. The style was very similar.yo a popular brand of nursing shoes (can't think of the name!). They were fairly unfashionable but my work was just lucky that I showed up in clean clothes with shoes on...at 42 weeks...

ETA: I just saw your feet are cold outside...I live in rural Northern MI so there is no choice but to wear a solid pair of snow boots here...both for the cold and traction on the ice.

moccasins aren't acceptable in public?

oops.

I guess I thought no one judged what an 8th month pregnant lady wore on her feet.... or, they shouldn't :)

I got a pair of black/navy boots called Earth Everwood that were on sale at zappos. They go nicely with my black maternity pants, which I've been living in since the snow/crazy cold started.

@MaryM: I know the wide calf to start with problem well. it took me a while to find some that I liked/could get on. I think my boots only fit because they laced up the front and were only to my ankles (like hiking boots). My end of pregnancy shoes for my summer baby were HUGE on me the next summer. It was shocking...

I had very swollen feet with my first (summer birthday) and I ended up going to Payless Shoe Source and buying shoes for work in the wide width. Maybe some cheap place like that would have something that would work short term in a wide width?

@maddyz: My warm boots are uggs and I can't fit my fat ankles in them anymore. Even the ones with laces on the back are too uncomfortable to try to get on.

And I tried compression socks the other day, but gave up trying to get them on. I have wide calves to begin with so even on a good day they're hard to put on. Now it's downright impossible.

I smashed my feet into my winter boots when pregnant in the winter... not pretty. Maybe you can change shoes for the office? I did that because my warm boots weren't comfortable for long period. I still often do that now. I keep some light shoes under my desk at work.

Also compression socks are the best.

I’d probably just buy a cheap pair at target and size up a size and wear thick socks if you need it.

If you were due in the winter...what shoes did you find that were comfortable for slightly swollen feet, warm, and appropriate for an office setting?

Normally by this point in winter when it's below freezing I'm in uggs. But 1. my maternity pants aren't wide legged enough to hide the uggs and 2. my fat ankles won't fit.

I have wide Mary Jane style shoes that are comfortable and fit...but my feet are so cold outside!

I keep saying I wish some famous person would start wearing LL Bean moccasins in public so it would be acceptable to wear them outside the house...
