He does his best to launch himself out of my grasp when he's not actually tied down (e.g. the changing table) so I save myself the stress and wear him.</p> <p>But yeah, I really wish the child safety buckles were better in shopping carts. And the high chairs at restaurants are a whole other catastrophe, I swear maybe 20% of the ones we've seen are actually functional and not broken. Thankfully LO hasn't tried to escape yet but she's still pretty small and often ends up with the belt pretty tight across her midsection.
