Let's see, I'm not sue until the spring, but here are the items on our list so far:

new swaddleme blankets (DD's were pretty worn out by the time she outgrew them)
more aiden and anais swaddle blankets (we only had one with DD, and I LOVED those things!)
a few more newborn footie sleepers (since this one will be born in the spring and DD was born in the summer)
replacement bottle parts/nipples
newborn and size 1 diapers
3 new fitted sheets for the crib and 2 new changing pad covers (DD's are just about worn out)
double stroller
baby book
breast pads
more socks
maybe a used baby swing, we haven't decided yet

For Christmas, we're decorating/furnishing DD's "big girl" room, complete with bunk beds, a new dresser, and some new storage space. Hopefully, she'll transition into the other room before the next baby comes in April, and she'll be fine with the new baby in her old nursery. We plan to co-sleep for a while, though, so even if takes a year to complete the transition, we should be fine.

How about a gift to your oldest from your newborn or even from you and your husband? Might make having a new baby a little less stressful for her. Or get matching gifts for both of them.

Thanks, guys! We still haven't decided whether we'll be getting a new crib or just a Pack n Play for the BebeDeux...luckily we still have Claire's old bassinet so we still have a bit more time to decide.

As for a stroller, we're just going to get a rumble seat for our UppaBaby Vista — that's actually one of the reasons we decided on the Vista, because you can fit more than one child on there!

I hadn't thought of breast milk storage bags or vitamin d drops, so thanks for the reminder, Bee! Luckily we still have everything else leftover from Claire, or they could share. :-)

i'm going to keep charlie in his crib as long as possible... at least until 2 1/2. otherwise i have to worry about him wandering around and making mischief!

also if you take away their crib, they may get really jealous/possessive to see a new baby in their crib.

@Bee, really? you aren't transitioning Charlie in a big boy bed?

Actually what Bee has written down seems just about right. But you will need a second crib seeing they are really close in age. I would imagine you'd want a double stroller as well.

Although my husband and I were initially a bit disappointed that we were expecting another girl, one of the biggest upsides is all the money we will save! (And having them just 13 months apart, we still have ALL of Claire's old stuff.)

That being said, with less than 6 weeks to go until my due date we really need to start preparing for BebeDeux. At first I thought that we would only need to get an additional carseat (we will get a convertible for Claire and have BebeDeux use Claire's current infant seat) and an extra seat for our stroller, but I'm guessing that this will not be enough?

This is the list I have so far:

-diapers
-replacement tubing and valves for breast pump
-nursing pads
-new nipples for our bottles
-gripe water

Surely that can't be it? Can anyone think of anything else that we might need with BebeDeux?
