If you decide to do so, just be prepared for mistakes where people assume that the common full name is the actual name. I had a boss whose given name was Danny, not Daniel. But IT and other people kept deciding he must be Daniel and setting things up that way and causing lots of confusion. I feel like it is a really hard name to learn to spell and to understand why it is pronounced the way that it is. I have a name that is commonly spelled completely differently and absolutely hate it. The problem is that we are absolutely stumped with names. Big brother is Jack (John) and our last name is incredibly common, short, and goes with anything.</p> <p>My top name is Ryan, DH prefers Sean, and we are both semi-liking Mark. We prefer names that are super easy to pronounce and spell. Luke, Nate, Bill, and Paul are out due to family members/ex-boyfriends. If the four letter thing wasn't a factor and family hadn't taken all of the good names, this would have been a Joe, Daniel, or Patrick. If it was a girl it would have been Rose or Elle.</p> <p>Any suggestions? </p>
