So throughout the day I had very light brown spotting that turned to pink; it was mixed with watery/EWCM. I also had a lot of cramping/tenderness on my left side. My first thought was to take a pregnancy test since I had an ectopic on my left side in October and thankfully it was negative.
So either the spotting is from ovulation or this is totally new for me. I wouldn't be surprised if I did ovulate even with the not so positive OPK.

Thanks for the input guys. I woke up this morning to some odd cramping and really light brown spotting so I have no idea what's going on.

p.s. a few months ago I missed my surge even taking opks twice per day - none of them looked like my usual positive - but I know I ovulated from the temp shift. So it is definitely possible to have a short enough surge that you miss it.

I also find that my afternoon tests tend to be lighter, unless I've surged. :goodluck:

I don't think it's positive. But as @winniebee: said, everyone is different. It can take a few months to figure out (hopefully you won't be trying for that long!), and it's helpful if there's temping or ovulation pains that can increase confidence in the interpretation of the opk.

How frustrating. I'm sorry that a tool that's supposed to make this clearer and easier is having the opposite effect. I'd say keep testing, keep BDing. No other advice. :bummed:

MY surge was really short before DS1. I never would get a true positive on wandfo - but I got some digital positives and it would be negative again 12 hours later. And then 12 days later I would get my period like clockwork. DS1 is here to prove I ovulated!

Hard to know without temping -- does your body have any other signs of it? I eventually was able to correlate period like cramps with my ovulation day.

It's always possible to miss it with testing I suppose but it looks like a no to me. I'm attempting to add a photo of my opks with my son. The top one is cd10 and looks nearly positive but not quite - I didn't get a true positive until cd16-17. And we only "tried" when I had the positive so it must have been right!

Hi ladies!
I am on cycle day 15 and this morning at 11 AM my OPK was very close to positive. The picture attached is the opk and it was a bit darker in person. I took one at 6 PM and it was clearly negative. Is it possible to surge that quickly or maybe it hasn't happened yet and it was a fluke?
I'm not sure when I usually ovulate due to back to back losses over the last few months but I'm sure this is around the right time for O.
