My acupuncturist who specializes in women and children recommends vitex, so that's what I did. It did hurt my silly but lengthened my lp from 9/10 to 14 days. It was the only thing that worked for me.

I don't have any advice, but I think this is a common issue. I had the same problem when I was still nursing my first and wanted to start TTC for my second. I ended up weaning down to once a day before my luteal phase lengthened enough for me to get pregnant.

Good luck to you. <3

I don't have advice, just commiseration. My LO is 31 months old and still nursing. I'm not testing my ovulation, but my cycles are so short that I know my luteal phase is shortened. I actually didn't realize it might be because of nursing. One thing I've heard of as lengthening the luteal phase is maca. Maybe look into that and see if it's ok with nursing?

My daughter is 14 months and still nursing 4 times a day (including once MOTN). We want to try for a second now so that they would be fairly close in age, but my luteal phase right now is only 8 days. I got my period back at 7 months pp, but my luteal phase hasn't lengthened at all since then. I've tried adding vitamin B6, but that hasn't seemed to help. The lack of research on vitex while breastfeeding has made me nervous to try that. Other than weaning, is there anything else that had worked for others to increase their LP?
