Progesterone lengthened my luteal phase and cycles in general. I didn't get AF until I stopped taking it.

@spaniellove: I was going to suggest that it sounds like you should try POI. And also maybe insist on your levels getting checked more frequently? Getting the right progesterone dose is tricky, and you can't really monitor levels properly through the suppositories.

@ineebee: Maybe 1 out of the 4 times I've used it now it's actually worked the way it was supposed to? With the IUI I bled early, with the IVF it kept AF away (though I was also on Estrace - don't know if that did anything?), with the BFP cycle my levels suddenly dropped from 37 to 10 so I had to add injections and oral progesterone, and this time I bled early again. Clearly the Endometrin isn't working for me! What's weird is that it will work fine for about a week and then it'll just drop off...as much as I hate to do the PIO injections, that might be a safer bet.

@spaniellove: That's really strange! Was it your first time using the Endometrin? Have you used other progesterone medications that worked the way it's supposed to? I was on oral progesterone and I bled right through that, but progesterone suppositories worked for me and kept AF at bay.

I was on progesterone because I had short luteal phase...it lengthened my cycle. I was under the impression it was supposed to!

I was on a progesterone cream a while ago and it shortened my cycles to 20 days. I wasn't o-ing, which was part of the problem, but yes, progesterone shortened my cycles.

This is the opposite of how it's supposed to work, so I'm not sure why this is happening! You're supposed to not start bleeding until after you stop the progesterone, or at least not have a shorter LP. My LP is very consistently 14 days without treatment, so it was weird when I had a 10 day LP during an IUI cycle and started bleeding right through the Endometrin. This cycle too it was 13 days (with spotting/cramping towards the end which was unusual) while using it.

Has anyone ever had the progesterone make things worse for them? I'm using it 3x/day and my levels last weekend were fine at 29 so something must be causing it to drop.
