Then they wanted to see what she was doing in there until she bought a toddler bed. We all LOVE the thing - I so wish they had one earlier, and they've said that before too. I did it because LO would get her legs cut in the crib, and she really wouldn't fuss about it, so I didn't know until I'd go check on her hours later. I'm so glad we got it, I sleep so much better at night now because I don't have to sit there worrying about her. Nothing against video monitors but that they're more expensive than audio monitors and I find the images a little creepy since they make me think of "Paranormal Activity."</p> <p>We've been fine with an audio monitor for 8+ months, but now that the baby has figured out how to stand up in her sleep sack, I feel bad when she's been fussing and it turns out that she's been standing up and is too tired to remember how to lie down again and has worked herself into a big fuss.</p> <p>Did anyone belatedly buy a video monitor? Are you glad you did? Does the desire to see what your baby is up to just keep getting stronger (thinking of Mrs. Wagon's crib-vaulting post today...)? Or does the helpfulness of a video monitor diminish after a certain age? </p>
