It's a liability issue. If one of them were to be hurt, what would happen to the HOA/neighborhood? The HOA is reacting SUPER weakly- I'm glad you don't live there permanently. Definitely call the police, if not for your comfort, for their safety. It's a liability for the HOA, too. What if someone gets hurt? I would definitely call the police. We had people being loud in our apartment courtyard really late for awhile (like 3am). Our management kept apologizing and saying they'd do something. When we got fed up and had the cops come out here, they finally sent out a bunch of lease violations. If it closes at 8pm, I'd think that'd mean the lifeguard was gone and the pool was truly intended to be inaccessible. Whoever is responsible in terms of liability if someone drowned should really care if there are people in the pool area after hours, regardless of if they're swimming. They live in a small subdivision with about 30 houses and right next to the clubhouse. The pool is next door from the bedroom we are using. </p> <p>Now that it's summer, neighborhood teenagers have been at the pool late at night. Pool closes at 8. They are there until 11 pm. I woke up to noises from the pool the other night at 1am. They had music blaring at 10pm. </p> <p>Our house is the only one that can be effected by them bc on the other side is the tennis courts. </p> <p>This is incredibly annoying bc my 20month old is also awakened at night. I complained to the HOA president but really there's nothing he can do to enforce it. I want to call cops and file a noise complaint but it's obvious who would have made that call.<br /> Should I just do it? </p>
