At 6 exactly we were told there wasn't even enough tissue for it to be viable and at 6+4 he initially was thinking that what he saw confirmed his initial suspicion. He really had to "dig" to find it. I went in at 5 weeks 6 days, and I was measuring 6 weeks, and the doctor could see a heat beat but it was too small to measure or hear, so now I have to go back tomorrow for a f/u ultrasound. I was devastated after having been through two prior losses. At our follow up appointment two weeks later, he was measuring right on track at 9 weeks. Don't be alarmed if you don't see a HB at 6+3.
