I totally forgot I posted this.

I've since bought a Boba and am glad I did. I'm not using it a crazy amount, but I'm happy to have it for those days where LO is extra high maintenance so I can get a few things done. I'm also really looking forward to wearing LO#2 in it from the beginning!

Thanks for everyone weighing in

I hvent used the moby in a month because LO only wants to fce out and got annoyed being snuggled up in the moby. But I'm going to try facing him out in it and will let you know how it goes!

I think it would be totally worth it to get one at this point. Right now we're using our SSC's (Beco Butterfly II & Babyhawk) mostly, but we'll start using the ring sling again once she can sit on our hips. If you're going to get one, I would get a ring sling or a woven wrap for adjustability and long term use. If you got something stretchy like the Moby, your LO will get too heavy for it to be comfortable before too long.

I love wearing my babies. I have an Ergo, Bjorn, and Moby Wrap. For the little ones I love the Moby Wrap. It can be hard, because the fabric is soooo long, but the baby feels SO secure. I love the Bjorn because it is easy and the baby can face out, but it hurts the most to wear as they get heavier. And finally, the Ergo is a pain in the butt if you need the infant insert. I haven't used the Ergo with a bigger baby (mine is six months old, and we didn't have this one with our two year old. I have never used a sling, I didn't like how insecure it felt.

I used the Bjorn style carrier for the first couple months until my back hurt and it got too hot, then the Hot sling for another two months. At four months I started using the Seven sling, and haven't gone back to the others. I use the Seven sling for a hip carry fairly often now.

If we are going long distances, we have a frame backpack that is fabulous. Those things are ridiculously expensive, but we lucked out and got it second hand for very little.

I bought a structured carrier before little one arrived which is working well for us. I also purchased a seven sling because it was so cheap, but don't use it at all. I'm assuming I'll use it to carry LO on my hip later on but am thinking I would like something I could comfortably wear around the house etc. in the meantime.

My LO is almost 15 weeks and I'm wondering, how much use have you gotten out of Moby's, K'Tans, hotslings etc past this point? Is it worth buying yet another carrier? Are they even practical once LOs are a little older?
