We have a tiny 850 sqft house and I can vacuum the entire house and still have a charge left. I love how easy it is to switch from the carpet attachment to the hard floor attachment. It is the single handedly the best cleaning product. We keep ours in the pantry and use it after every meal (messy 2year old) and keeps me sane bc it’s so quick and easy to use. I just don't think it is as thorough as our Dyson or our in house central vac when operated by a person. On max power the battery lasts long enough to do my whole kitchen and living room for sure. I never vacuum more than that at once! We have a V6. I love it- I use it almost every day, and I have never had it run out of battery. I never would have spent the money on it, but I'm so glad it was gifted to me. I use it around the kitchen daily, occasionally for the stairs, and take it up once every week or two to do the hardwood/tile upstairs. I'm looking at getting one at Costco (or possibly waiting for a sale but need it by early May) and there's a $120 difference between the V7 animal and V8 total clean, the V8 is supposed to have better battery life but I'm not sure it's worth $120 at this point. I think it depends on your house setup and needs though - we have a multi-level townhome so I love the portability of the dyson stick. Plus with two toddlers, there's always a small mess somewhere that needs quick attention and I prefer the dyson for that too.
