I say go for it! We did it after my son had been dry for about 2 months. Definitely get a 2nd mattress protector though.

I think you want to try it so go for it! Worst thing that happens is he goes back into pull-ups. I just throw the cover in first thing in the morning then it's definitely dried by bedtime. Wouldn't want all that pee to just sit anyway. ;)

Haha, I bought two mattress protectors, learned my lesson on having only one!

My son tends to wake up if he is wet, so I have to change he bed in the middle of the night. I put the laundry right in, I don't let it sit.

I think the answer depends on whether or not doing sheet laundry in the middle of the week is feasible.

@regberadaisy: rarely. I can think of maybe one time in the last month. Definitely not for a few weeks. We have a terry cloth mattress protector that they sold us with the mattress said its absorbent who knows though.

How often is he still waking up wet?

I presume you have a waterproof mattress cover? My only qualm with pulling it knowing he still wets is it was pretty awful for M when she did. Because the mattress cover doesn't absorb, it's just a plastic layer, she was completely drenched from head to toe. She was really upset the 2x that happened.

T has been day trained for about 2.5 months. The last month or more he has woken to pee in the middle of the night and wakes up dry - on rare occasion he is wet. Should we pull the night pull up and risk a random accident or keep him in a pull up so long as he's not complaining? He is 3.
