@Katrocap: Oh sweetie. If he's doing it himself he'a just trying to get comfy. If he's comfy, he sleeps better. Which means you sleep better. By this time, the risk of SIDS is greatly decreased (if I remember correctly).

DD has been sleeping on her side from the beginning. LterallyWe're at 4.5 months ish and she's perfectly healthy. DS was like that at this age too and he's 17.5 months old. Fret not, momma!

@Katrocap: Once they have the strength to roll onto their stomachs, they would have the strength to move their heads, you know? But then again, I'm on the other end of the spectrum. LO started belly naps at 10 weeks and belly night sleep at 4.5 months.

@weagle: Thanks! I'm probably just being paranoid, but in six months I've never seen him sleeping in any other position than on his back.

I just went in to check on DS (who is 6 months) and he is on his side. Earlier in the evening he was sleeping on his stomach and I rolled him back onto his back. Obviously I can't catch every time he is on his side or stomach, so should I bother repositioning him? He can roll from tummy to back, but isn't consistent about it. I'm just terrified of SIDS!!!
