@mrswin: my progesterone was tested on cd 21, and I'm pretty sure I ovulated on cd 14 that cycle (using opks and cm). I used to ovulate around 17-18, but it's been on 14 since I started vitex after my m/c. I haven't started temping, bc I think it will make me even more obsessive. If I don't get preggo again soon though, I'm going to start.

@Shantuck: sorry :(. I'm definitely up and down a lot. Things always seem better in the 2ww. Fingers crossed for you too!

I had a similar situation recently.

I thought I had ovulated based on my BBT, but when I went in to test my progesterone on CD 21 my levels were low. I started taking progesterone supplements. Then I realized that I never had a clear BBT shift and that my progesterone levels may have been low because I hadn't ovulated yet. I panicked!

I almost stopped the progesterone, but I decided to stick it out just in case. I figured it would be better to take the progesterone and find out later that I never ovulated than to stop the progesterone and find out later that I *did* ovulate. I knew that if I did ovulate, I would never be able to forgive myself if I put a pregnancy at risk by stopping my supplements.

Turns out, I did ovulate and I ended up pregnant. I have since miscarried, but I'm glad that I continued the progesterone and gave that pregnancy the best possible chance.

If it turns out you haven't actually ovulated, there are always things like Provera to help you end your current cycle and start fresh. I would suggest temping next cycle and don't let your doctor test your levels until you are certain that you are 7DPO.

@Zbug: I'm hanging in there. This infertility stuff is really starting to get to me this month. Planning to start IVF in January if nothing happens before then. Fingers crossed that this is your lucky cycle!

@Zbug: How long are your cycles usually? What day did they test your progesterone? The only way to know for sure if you have ovulated is with temping, are you open to that? Some ladies get multiple surges on OPKs before getting a positive so it's not very reliable.

@lauren0817: thank you! Yeah I am going with i hopefully ovulated and keeping my fingers crossed at this point. I read that book a couple of years ago before dd - so good!

@Shantuck: I get that too, but this was only 2dpo (I think), and I feel like the estrogen surge usually happens a week after O. Ugh. How are things going for you??

I usually get EWCM 3-4 days after ovulation. I was told it was caused by a surge of estrogen that happens right around that time. Maybe that is what happened to you?

Hmm that's a tough one - I would say if you had a positive OPK then you probably ovulated. I tracked my BBT and CM for a long time and found that CM can be a bit tricky :) I never had much luck with OPK's though so I don't have much experience with them. I loved this book if you want to read more about cycle tracking: http://www.amazon.com/Taking-Charge-Fertility-Anniversary-Edition/dp/0060881909

Advice needed! I was found to have low progesterone a couple months ago, and my dr told me to start vaginal progesterone suppositories on day 14. I don't temp, but I use opks and track cm. I had a positive opk Friday morning, and I thought I ovulated saturday (cd14). CM had turned creamy yesterday, so I started the progesterone last night. This morning, however, I had more EWCM! I'm now worried that I haven't actually ovulated, and I know progesterone can stop ovulation. I'm kicking myself for not temping, and I'm not really sure what to do now. We've been TTC since february with a m/c in June.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
