@rahlyrah: I do it mostly for supply reasons! I'm really paranoid about maintaining a good supply. I don't wake her up at night at all :)

@rahlyrah: I agree with @travellingbee: wake during the day to eat so they have a better chance of sleeping at night.

@rahlyrah: Not necessary medically I guess but helps them get enough calories during the day so they don't need as many at night. I just stopped doing that at about 4 months, I think.

I wake my girl if she naps too late in the day because it leads to a crappy night!

At that age I wasn't letting her go longer than 3 hours during the day without nursing! I guess I'm an anomaly though?

I wondered the same thing today!! I was even going to start a thread, heh. In the end, we finally woke him, as it was more than an hour past his usual time to eat.

I'm currently have the same debate! But C looks like she is stirring now. She frequently goes 3 hours or so between feedings, but then cluster feeds. Ped said it was OK...

LO is 8 weeks old. He usually only naps in the car or for brief 20-30 minute naps during the day.

Today, he fell asleep around 5:30. He's been zonked for 2 hours! He usually goes down for the night around 9pm. Should I wake him? It's been 3 hours since his last nursing session so I figured he'd wake to eat by now. No such luck!
