I found that once we moved to just one session a day (at wake up), my supply plummeted to practically nothing. (This was right around 13.5 months). DD was essentially comfort nursing at wake up, and then wanted breakfast. Like Xander, she just wasn't all that into it... so - like PPs have suggested - I used that opportunity to completely cut the cord. She didn't care. Not even a tiny bit. I just started offering a straw cup of milk at wake up.</p> <p>Within a few weeks, she didn't even care about having the milk first thing... now (15.5 mo) she wakes up slowly and then we go straight into breakfast (where she gets milk with her food). I loved BFing and was sad to wean, but honestly - she was ready.
