So we planned DS's birthday party in February, the day after his actual birthday. I just text my best friend (since 5th grade!!) and wanted to give her a text "save the date" before mailing out invites to make sure she can come and help out. Turns out she has a familial obligation (planned 5 months ago) that day. urghhhh we are both super upset! Doesn't sound like something she can get out of. She is my best friend and a part of LO's life - I don't want her to miss it and I'm considering changing the date just for her! Even though the photographer and and venue are booked - they haven't charged us yet (they wait until closer to the day). </p> <p>What would you do? Change the date for one person and try to work it out with the date-sensitive items (venue, photog, invites) - or leave it as is and accept her not being able to come?? </p>
