@MrsRcCar: thanks! she just fought thru an entire feed and only took 3 ounces in 30 min and its stuff like this that make me not even want to rock the boat, but I know it would be much better for dh and me.

It's possible that if you drop the night feed she may be more hungry during the day, especially in the morning when she wakes up.

@blackbird: yeah i think we should.. going back to ped today so i'll discuss with her, but we are going to start adding Polycal to her bottles for extra calories and beginning cereal so hopefully she won't drop. i just hate being so obsessed with every little 1/4oz of milk, not to mention getting super anxious before each feeding.

@littleredhairedgrl: I would try for a couple of days. Like pp said, if she starts losing you'll know and can resume the nighttime feed. She may surprise you!

@littleredhairedgrl: Well i would totally try it and see if you can squeeze more in her the rest of the day and keep track of her weight. If it's not enough, she'll start dropping and you'll know!!!

@Mamasig: i am starting her this weekend trying oat cereal for the first time (she has really bad reflux so we've been holding off to see if it was allergy-related) and frequently refuses bottles. it takes so much work to get her to drink 25oz a day so i really do count on that night bottle.. sigh..

Possibly? I would totally drop a feeding if she doesn't wake up to eat it!!!

I would try it and give her more in her daytime bottles and see if she takes it.
Is she eating solids? Mine naturally dropped bottles as they began eating more too.

A has had a lot of trouble gaining weight with her reflux issues and, at almost 7 months (almost 5 corrected), we are still feeding her a middle-of-the-night bottle. We have to wake her for the bottle and she will take about 4oz which we need to get us to her total for the day. Her last bottle before that is around 10:30p and I know she would gladly (and us too!) sleep thru the night after that if we let her.

I'm just worried that if we stop this bottle she will not get the ounces that she so needs. With the dropped feed will she soon realize that she needs to take more during her other 6 bottles?
