If she eats something with dye in it her hyperactivity goes through the roof, her defiance amplifies... it's acts sort of like a drug. When we elminated artificial dyes from her diet, we noticed an improvement (certainly not like a day/night difference, but an improvement). I used natural food coloring because Ellie has a dye sensitivity.
