@MrsRcCar: Yeah, they are just in the regular women's section, with the other tanks and t shirts. Usually there is a big display table, and every time I've gone they've been $8 when you buy two or more ($10 regularly).

@Pumuckl: Those dresses are beautiful!
@delight: That is a beautiful top! How does it work for nursing?
@Foodnerd81: I will have to look into the Tami tops from Old navy. I have been meaning to stop by there lately. The Tami Tops aren't exclusively nursing tops right? My Old navy is a little one.....

Thank you all again! I love seeing all these options.

@Foodnerd81: Yes I just wore a regular nursing bra underneath and then pulled the neck on the side I was gonna nurse on over. The material is stretchy and it never overstretched. Also I have larger (F/G) nursing boobs so it even worked with them. If this is any help.

@mrs. bird: That is a really clever!

@MrsKoala: I have the same ones, and they are amazing for nursing. I wear them under almost everything. I think I have 3 white ones, 2 black, and a gray.

@MrsKoala: Yup, I pull it down under my boob, as well as pulling the nursing bra down. I was skeptical since most shirts I've gotten from Old Navy stretch out or warp after one wash, but I've worn all these a million times and they are fine. After a couple of wears without washing, the neck might stretch out a little bit, but washer and dryer and they are back to normal. The only downside is that since they are a cotton-y material, they aren't totally smooth under some shirts-- like under another t-shirt the fabrics would catch, where a smooth modal fabric underneath would glide better, if that makes sense.

They are also nice and long and don't ride up, and the straps are wide enough to cover most nursing bra straps, though, they do sometimes peak out, I won't lie.

I hate exposing my stomach, especially when I am sitting down to nurse and it's all scrunched up-- no one needs to see that! My boob, I care much less about exposing :)

@Foodnerd81: So you pull the tami tank down under your boob? It doesn't stretch out? If so, then this is the solution to all of my nursing wear problems. I hate regular nursing tanks as they don't work with the size of my boobs. I've just been wearing regular shirts and yanking them up and exposing my stomach. I hate showing my stomach right now.

I mostly wear a tank and either a v-neck or cardigan, or a button neck top (like a henley or whatever). Nothing terribly stylish.

BUT I wanted to make sure you all knew about the Old Navy tami tank. People on here recommended it and it's the best if you want to wear a nursing bra, but be able to pull down the neck of your tank. It fits pretty well, is super stretchy, and I put it in the regular washer and dryer and it never gets stretched out. I wear one almost every day, and I only own three, so that tells you how much I wash them.

http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=99087&vid=1&pid=251943172

I also wear shirts with a half way down button, like this: http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=72302&vid=1&pid=968327012 (I don't have this specific one, but that's the idea.)

But yeah, it's not like I'm winning any red carpets.

I generally do the tank and shirt move, but when out/traveling, I like Glamourmom tanks with a light cardigan and the Gap's crossover nursing tops. The fabric is sort of thick for Texas summer, but I like the look and fit (I have a large chest too), so I found it worth it. I never found a nursing dress I liked for weddings, so I just ended up nursing in the ladies room in a dress that unzipped down.

@Mrs. Champagne: they have double layer, I guess because of the shelf bra. I wore nursing pads for a loooong time. This was mostly just around the house, or out with a jacket on (or a well placed scarf). If I"m actually going somewhere I put a nursing bra on. I hate bras though...so I do what I can to avoid them.

Yeah- this is really only a solution for small chested ladies. I did get a couple nursing bras, and just did the same set up but with a tank without a shelf bra. That is probably your best bet if you are larger chested.

@heartonastring: I have two of the Henley style ones from target. I think I may get some more, I just wish there were more colors.
@Silva: I have a pretty big chest 36DDD. It is hard for me to find tops normally, I am not sure why I thought it would be easier now.

Also I will be traveling to Texas this summer and I would prefer not layer because I struggle to regulate my body temp properly. So I am looking for things that would be easy but cute to wear. Also we are attending a wedding while in Texas so I need a good nursing dress that is wedding proper.

I have small boobs, but i always just wear a shelf-bra tank top and a v-neck shirt. I bought a bunch of v-neck shirts from jcrew factory, and they have been great. I don't mind going down- like just pushing the bra/shirt out of the way, (again, small boobs so I think its a little easier to be discrete), but in the early days when babe and I were less confident with nursing I did the trick @heartonastring: suggests. I bought several cheap camis from old navy and wore them underneath my regular shirts. Un-do nursing bra, lift the shirt, tank stays down.

I wear Target (Gilligan and O'Malley) nursing tanks under everything but I don't wear any nursing-specific clothing. It's easier, for me at least, just to wear normal tops with a tank underneath. Top goes up, tank comes down, almost everything remains covered.
