Because they're also classic.<br /> I also love oversized and waterfall cardigans a lot. They're just a touch more updated than a traditional button cardigan. Bonus if they have a fun detail like fringe.<br /> Crop skinny jeans always (crop on me is ankle because I have short legs). Dark blue, light blue, black and white.<br /> Distressed skinny jeans and boyfriend jeans.<br /> I love drapey but still sort of clingy t-shirts and cut-offs for summer. </p> <p>And another great option instead of cardigans are denim jackets and leather jackets. You can find some great "vegan" leather jackets that are more price conscious. Those were/are from Nordstrom, which is where I find most of my professional clothes. The middle one is Betsy Johnson, and I’ve found some long sleeve sheaths of hers I like just straight from her site. My style tends to be more classic/preppy than trendy/edgy, so I don't feel the need to update my wardrobe all the time and nicer basics work for me. For dresses, I've really been liking Boden this year (especially when it's on sale :happy: ), they have a lot of great options that I feel can be worn to the playground or out. In time, maybe by next summer, I really want my summer wardrobe to be 80% dresses.</p> <p>ETA: another thing that really helps me is that I made a Pinterest board of my clothes, and I add to it when I buy something.
