My friend and SIL hosted in Indy, well, kind of. My SIL said she'd help and did nothing. Didn't bring food, helped a little with decorations- I had gotten my friend a $50 LUSH gift card and my SIL some nail polish, but ended up giving it all to my friend, and then sent her a $50 Target GC afterwards because I realized HOW MUCH she had done all on her own and felt that the polish/LUSH wasn't enough. I ended up just giving a thank you card to my SIL. I hosted her shower and did tons/spent a lot of $ and she never got me a hostess gift, so I didn't feel badly at all.
