Not only should you not offer any discount, but you should charge them more! Our daycare doesn't offer any sibling discount and is nearly $1400/month.

The in home daycare providers we've met with didn't have a sibling discount set, although some were open to the idea of 10% off. In-home providers tend to be cheaper than daycares in general so I could understand not offering a discount.

Are you serious? At $25 a day you need not offer a discount!!!
Plus the infant will be a ton of work!
I wouldn't expect a discount if I were a parent sending my child to daycare; it's not required to provide sibling discounts.

I think our daycare gave a 10% discount for the second child. In your case, you could just charge $20/day for #2; I think that would be more than fair.

I send my kids to a day care center, and I get a $10/month discount which is roughly a 5% discount, so it's really not much at all!

To give you a point of reference, most day care centers offer a sibling discount (usually 10% or 15% off the tuition of the older child). Day care centers typically charge more for infants (lower child to teacher ratio than older kids), so as your child moves classrooms, there are more kids in the class, but tuition is cheaper.

Maybe you call a few day care centers in your area to understand how much they charge for tuition and what type of discounts they give when there is more than one child.

I provide daycare for a 2 1/2 year old little girl. She has been in my care since she was 8 weeks old and her parents are now expecting baby #2. We haven't discussed what I will charge to care for baby #2. I really have no clue what to charge and what is considered "fair" because I have only ever had only children and have never cared for siblings.

I charge $25 a day to watch my daycare girl.

What do you consider to be a fair rate for baby #2?
