Totally normal behavior through illness (like @mamamoose I know I don't have much of an appetite when sick). If you normally nurse then I wouldn't really worry about pumping to maintain supply... generally it'll be just fine with even nursing little bits during the day & at night (we have always fallen back on night nursing to boost supply b/c more prolactin triggers are laid at night than the daytime). Just be sure to stay hydrated & snuggle it up with that lo! P has always resumed to her normal nursing "schedule" once she feels better!

My LO has a hard time nursing when she's stuffed too. I know I'm not super hungry when I'm not feeling well either. And it's tough for them to nurse and breath at the same time when their noses are all stuffed up. I'm sure she'll be right back to her regular schedule once she's feeling well. My LO has an ear infection and within a couple days of starting the antibiotics she was back to being a boob monster : )

LO has been sick since Saturday night - she has a fever and a nasty cough/runny nose. We went to the doctor Monday and she said it's just an upper respiratory virus and it will run its course. But since LO has gotten sick she hasn't wanted to nurse during the day. She will nurse when she wakes up in the middle of the night and first gets up for the day, but other than that, forget it. She usually nurses every 3-4 hours during the day if I'm around. Have any of you dealt with something like this? Will she pick back up nursing when she feels better? I'm trying to pump to maintain my supply but hard to do while taking care of a sick LO by myself and trying to keep up with work too.
