Thanks ladies. I don't think it's a dairy intolerance as he's FF and no problems with his milk. If it was reflux would it be painful for him? I think you are right and keeping a record of it may shine some light - I've just been treating it as normal baby behaviour but he does seem very old for it.

dairy intolerance or reflux? doesn't sound normal, but not necessarily anything to get alarmed at either.
I would ask your health visitor or gp.

You mentioned he'll always eat yogurt. Maybe a dairy intolerance? My MSPI baby spit up a ton before I cut dairy from my diet and then it completely stopped.

I would recommend tracking what solids he's eating in a food journal for a couple weeks to see if you can figure out what's triggering the problem. Maybe he has some type of allergy/sensitivity?

DS is 9mo, and is pretty much sick at least once every day. He is rarely ever sick with milk, only after solids. It's within 10-15 mins of the meal, it's a very small amount and it doesn't bother him. I haven't thought much of it as he's not upset by it, but I'm wondering if it's normal at his age, and whether it could end up damaging his teeth?

Some other stuff that may be relevant - this has only been going for 1-2 months. I'm a little hazy on when it started, but I know at least the first 1.5ish months of solids, he was never sick. We started at 6mo and he's eaten a wide variety from the start.

Over the last month he has been incredibly moody, he whines all day long and screams and arches when he doesn't get what he wants (eg to play with the iPhone or the cats food etc). I miss my smiley happy boy, but I imagine this is more likely developmental?

Also for the last month he's had a serious reduction in food intake, both milk and solids. He went from an average of 31oz milk per day down to 24oz, and his solids haven't ramped up to compensate, they've dropped. Sometimes he refuses entire meals (though he'll always eat a yoghurt). I am a very long way from worrying about his weight (he fell off the top of the centile chart at 8mo) - but I'm just wondering if this could be connected to the throwing up in any way, and worried I could be missing something that's troubling him. I think he may have just started teething again the last few days, but he definitely hasn't been teething all this time.

Any thoughts or opinions are most welcome!
