I only took it when I felt like I had a clog coming on, not 100% of the time. This helped lessen side effects for me. Just a thought! (Interestingly, it wasn't the lecithin that messed me up most but the elderberry that I tried to boost my immune system during daycare crud peaks.)

@sweet_p: I'm not sure exactly, as it was awhile ago. I do find that naturally fermented foods, like kombucha, kefir, kimchi, etc really help my digestive system to reset faster when it gets screwed up. I really hope you feel better soon!

@periwinklebee: Sorry to hear you went through that too. Do you remember how long it took to get it out of your system? On day 2 and still feeling awful and spending half the day in the bathroom.

Yes, me, exactly the same thing happened. Lactation consultant said it is very common. I was completely miserable, but the GI symptoms went away as soon as the lecithin got out of my system. I know others here have had the same experience.

Clogs became less frequent once I had LO's tongue tie fixed. The pump was also horrible for me with regards to clogs, though using the spectra helped. :goodluck:

Has anyone experienced side effects after taking sunflower lecithin? I started taking the one from Legendairy Milk about 3 weeks ago after getting some clogged ducts. It definitely helped get rid of them, but a week ago I noticed my stomach wasn’t feeling great but nothing to be worried about. Starting yesterday I’ve been having stomach pain and frequent loose stools/diarrhea. I’m wondering if it’s from taking the lecithin daily as a preventative. I’d really like to avoid going to the doctor right now so hoping it’s from that and not something else
