YIKES! I have been taking one per day since the day after IUI. Turns out I was supposed to be taking 3. I hope this doesn't affect anything too badly. :(

I don't remember having any symptoms from it until I already knew I was pregnant. It just made me super crampy until I stopped taking it.

@CatchAFallingStar: Right after implantation I was on endometrin which was like a white powdery tablet (think tylenol) that I took 3x per day. After 12 weeks I was put on prometrium which was like a gel pill that I took 1x per day.

So it could be either dose!

I was only taking 1 a day, but low progesterone was not something I was diagnosed with, my doctor's policy was to give everyone 1 suppository/day to start with if they were doing any type of medicated cycle.

@snarkybiochemist: how many were you taking daily? I totally spaced what my doctor said when they gave it to me and I've only been taking one a day. I looked back to my 2014 and I was taking 3 daily! Now I'm worried that I've messed up these past 4 days. 😩

All 3 cycles I was on them including the cycle I got pregnant, I remember having tender breasts along with feeling bloated and dealing with some constipation. With the 3rd cycle the symptoms were more intense, and that was the cycle that I was pregnant on, the first 2 I just remember hoping that it meant I was pregnant.

For anyone who has used progesterone vaginal suppositories after fertility treatments, what side effects did you experience? Did you confuse the progesterone with pregnancy symptoms? I have used them once before, in 2014 when I became pregnant with my daughter. So, the symptoms I felt then actually WERE pregnancy symptoms. But, I can't remember the specifics of how I felt besides tender breasts.
