Friends of ours did a color run and they just took an umbrella stroller so it would be easy to clean, but they probably just walked with it!

I think jogging strollers usually have one front wheel that you can set to be fixed straight, so if you go over a bump or crack the stroller won't turn sharply or anything. Plus the wheels are bigger than most.

I would not get a super nice stroller for that u less you plan to wash it after or can cover it with something like a rain shield. I did the color run and was covered in the stuff!! I also saw ppl with both jogging and regular strollers. Unless you're planning on running the whole thing, a regular stroller is prob fine.

Would you walk or run the 5k? Joggers have much bigger tires that are rubber (vs. plastic on most regular strollers) and are far more suited to absorb a bumpier ride. They also have only one front wheel for maneuverability.

How are jogging strollers different from regular strollers? Or is it just a marketing gimmick?

Thinking of signing up for a 5k (the color run, it's super low key, open to all fitness levels, walkers, runners, strollers all welcome) and doing it with LO but wasn't sure if we needed to upgrade our stroller!
