My LO has her first cold and she is breaking my heart with all the rattling she does when she's breathing/nursing, and her poor little nose is sooooo runny...Yesterday I noticed I was a little stuffy and my throat was a touch sore, but I always fight stuff off and honestly never get sick so I figured it would be gone today. Nope. LO woke up a couple of times in the night (not like her at all) and I had such a stuffy nose at that point that I couldn't go back to sleep! I'm drinking coffee now to help my throat feel better, but I've never been sick since she was born so I have no idea what I can/can't use. Then DH just came in and announced that he feels all achy and has the sniffles. So we are dropping like flies over here:(</p> <p>I bought LO a humidifier last night to help...Not sure if it's helping or not- I don't know how to tell. But I was thinking about buying a 2nd one for our room if DH and I both are having trouble breathing. She was all stuffy all week and I woke up yesterday with swollen glands, sore throat, and so much sinus congestion. I'm breastfeeding so my usual "take all the sudafed" solution is out. </p> <p>I'm just being a baby but this sucks. I'm so uncomfortable. C actually slept 8 hours just now and I've been up for at least two, not sleeping because I'm stuffy and my head hurts. Wah. </p> <p>Any recommendations for natural relief? I feel like I'm too stuffed for the neti pot to even work right now. Sitting in a hot steamy bathroom will probably help but didn't really want to do that in the middle of the night. Hopefully C naps so I can take a super long hot shower at least. </p> <p>Mostly I'm just venting. I hate that I am missing much needed sleep most of all! </p>
