For DS, we had non-stop guests from the moment he was born (our first non-family guest arrived an hour after he was born!!) till his 1 month celebration! We happened to get a warm saturday in march and jumped at the opportunity. Nothing fancy though...just burgers and friends who came brought sides. We wouldn't be able to have the party outside like we are planning!</p> <p>We also keep her birthday parties "small" and only invite family -- but there's still 40 of us (that's immediate family!)</p> <p>For the SNS, we'd like to invite friends and DH's co-workers (who we wouldn't invite to a bday party..) and have the party inside/outside. At the beginning of September it's still gorgeous here! Our house is too small to accommodate that many people indoors.</p> <p>Lots of our friends have kids now, so it would be great for the older ones to run around and play in the backyard!</p> <p>Watch, it'll rain!
