@NaturallyCathy: We had to go straight to a straw cup too because she hated sippies. We use the cheapo Playtex ones too! $7 for a pack of 2, they work awesome, are easy to clean and they are cheap! Im so glad I tried them before springing for a Zoli.

We have the Zoli and Lollacup. My LO really likes the Zoli but like @regberadaisy said, I'm not sure I would put anything other than water in it because it's kind of hard to clean. The Lollacup is much easier to clean but the straw is significantly bigger and the amount of liquid that comes through overwhelms my LO. I don't know what we're going to do when she has to drink milk from a sippy cup. If you find any better options, please share! Good luck!

I would just try straw cups or help him learn how to drink from a regular cup. I actually bought these cheapie plastic cups from the dollar store that have sippy lids. They're great because they have a spout but no valve so they're basically part sippy, part regular cup.

We've used the Zoli straw cup from the get go and she drinks water, almond milk and green smoothies from it with no problems. We've also recently started helping her drink from a normal cup, it's messy, but she is learning.

@Mrs. Stroller: At this rate, we may have to do the same.

The funny thing is, he -is- always interested in whatever we're drinking. He wants to drink out of our coffee cups, out of water glasses, out of our water bottles. My only problem is that every time I try to let him drink out of these, he's usually choking on the water I try to give him. He keeps gamely going back to whatever vessel it is I'm letting him drink from but he still keep choking. I know since he's sitting up, there isn't much of a chance of him drowning but that's currently my irrational pregnancy fear - that somehow, he'll get enough water to choke/drown on.

We had to skip sippies all together and go to a straw cup. Cheapo Playtex click & lock straw cup.

Maybe you can just skip to regular plastic cups? Try it out with water first, to see if he'll be ok with it.

We started with the Zoli although I wouldn't reco putting anything but water in it.
How old is LO? We're currently using the Thinkster and liking it more but it's big (9oz) so better suited for older babies.

We are struggling with sippy cups as well. We gave our LO the Avent cup with the soft nipple and she drinks no prob from it but I tried the Tommee Tippee cup with the hard nipple that she has to bite and suck and all she does is bite it. So we basically only have one cup and am ALWAYS washing that thing. I hope you find out what works!

Every time I introduce a new sippy cup, DS seems to like it for the first few times and then completely loses interest. We've tried Nuk soft spout sippy cup, then switched to a Dr. Brown's soft spout sippy cup (pictured below). From there, we went to the Dr. Brown's hard spout, which worked the longest. Then, after some suggestions from here on HB, we tried the Tommee Tippee soft straw sippy cup and the Tommee Tippee spill proof cup (pictured below).

Out of all of them, the best luck we've had has been with the Dr. Brown's hard spout sippy cup and the Tommee Tippee soft straw sippy cup.

DS was okayed for milk Wednesday and I've been trying to get him to take his regular formula in a sippy cup but he won't take it, no matter where I put it. He's totally balking and wants the bottle. If he won't take formula in a sippy cup, how can I convince him to take regular milk in a sippy cup?

Any suggestions on transitioning? Any other brand suggestions? He needs to learn to use a sippy cup and I want to transition him to milk!
