I don't live in a super walkable part of my city, but if I did, I would absolutely get one for my 3 year old when our new baby comes. Or maybe just one of those cool running boards.

we have a sit and stand, my kids are 3 years apart. I don't use it a ton, but it is great the mall, at the arboretum, that sort of thing (I should note my older LO still likes to sit in the stroller). he hated the car seat in the beginning so I wore him more, but he's gotten used to the seat now and it's nice not to have to wear him the whole time (even if I do it part of the time). our single is the city mini and I've heard a lot of complaints about the board for that so I didn't try it (plus wasn't sure older LO would do it).

to me this was totally worth getting a cheaper sit and stand. one other thing I did was take the older LO to the store and let her try some - she was instantly into it so I figured it would work well.

we have this one: Graco RoomFor2 Stand and Ride Classic Connect Stroller

My LOs are three years apart and we don't have a car so we use the stroller a lot. We bought a wheelie board to attach to the stroller and my older LO loves to ride it when he's too tired to walk. I would look into finding a wheelie board that is compatible with your current stroller before getting a whole new stroller.

We're expecting baby 2 in May when my son turns 2.5 years old. We have a single BOB stroller, which I've used mainly to bring him to day care so far and now we are thinking of getting something else for both kids.

Thoughts on sit and stand strollers for 2.5 year gap? What's a good model is this is the way to go?

For the beginning, I was thinking that we could continue using the single stroller and putting the baby in a carrier. Not sure how long the 2.5 year old would want to sit in a stroller for. . .
