My 2nd never dropped! She was born at 37 weeks which was really unexpected. I had just seen my doctor one week before and I wasn't dilated at all and hadn't had any other "labor is eminent" symptoms until my water broke, so you just never know!

My baby never dropped, but I delivered on my due date. Just days before everyone was saying how late I would go because of how I looked.

Second babies usually don't drop until labor. My first never dropped! So anything is possible!

Bummer but ya know he probably can't truly predict much at this point. I actually think its good to prepare to go late in your mind but early in your outward preparations (I hope that makes sense). So I'd have my affairs in order for sure but emotionally prepare to wait a bit. I went late with my son and I became a monster so I'm hoping I won't feel so anxious and nuts the next time. We shall see. Best of luck to you my dear! You are so close!

#1 never dropped! I went into labor on my own (39 weeks) and had to labor down for a couple hours because she was sooo high. #2 dropped around 39 weeks, and I had to induce at 40+6.
I think dropping has more to do with speed of delivery (though not the only factor) than timing of labor

With DD1, she didn't drop until I was in full on labour on my due date (naturally, not induced). I carried so, so high the entire pregnancy and she just never dropped. DD2 didn't drop much but the last week or so, my belly was marginally lower, albeit still very high; DD2 was born the day after her due date.

I saw my ob on a Thursday at 39+3. I was carrying very high, not dilated or effaced at all. She told me I would probably need to schedule an induction at 42 weeks but we could discuss it at my next appointment. I went into labor 1 am Sunday morning the day before my due date. You just never know.

Only one baby, but I didn't really drop until 39 weeks or so. My baby was so high and I went into labor naturally at 40w2d.

FWIW T sat as low as possible for the last 4 weeks and still wouldn't come out even after being induced. Haha

I've heard for second babies they drop all of the sudden? I only have one so I can't give you firsthand advice but I watched a YouTube mom in labor and her second baby was dropping as she was walking into the hospital.

Baby #2 and he is sitting really high still. Saw my OB and he predicts this baby will be late, just like baby #1 (41 weeks). He didn't even bother checking my cervix (it was closed shut a few weeks ago).

If you were late with #1, were you late with #2? Anyone have baby sit really high until the end?
