@jedeve: she has a huge head- 90th percentile. But she's in the 85th for weight and 75th for height and just... Solid. Not really rolly or chunky at all. She might be getting stuck but really just seems like she has no interest.
I do roll her onto her tummy then back onto her back, for exactly that reason. I've tried leaving the room, laying there with her, different carpet/pads/mats and clothing combinations to help increase friction, having toys she loves just out of reach... I'm at a loss.

My daughter sat unassisted at 5 months, crawled at 10 months, walked at 12 and I still don't think I've ever seen her roll. She's never shown an interest in it!

My niece sat up on her own early on but never really rolled. She also skipped crawling and went straight to walking.

Mine rolls but refuses to sit! Like won't even sit on our laps during dinner!

My 6.5 month old rolled back to stomach first, still won't roll stomach to back and is pretty close to sitting unassisted. My older son went back to stomach first, too.

DS2 is 7 1/2 months and I've only seen him roll twice when he was trying to get something. He's totally not interested. He is just starting to sit unassisted. I think his weight slows him down too. He's super chubby.

Neither of my kids rolled very much at all. With DD, I don't think she ever rolled until well after she was sitting (sitting unassisted at 6.5 months).

My DD started rolling from back to belly around the same time she started sitting really well unassisted, just about 6 months. She almost never rolled from belly to back until a couple weeks ago when she decided it's fun to loll around on the floor (she's ~13 months).

@jedeve: that's a good tip!

My LO can roll, but doesn't do it very often anymore. I think he also just doesn't want to.

Does she have a big head? My LO has trouble getting his head over when he tries to roll but does OK sitting. His head is in the 97% percentile!

One tummy time tip I learned from our PT is to help them roll from back to tummy when you are doing tummy time, instead of just laying then down. And then rolling them back. It helps them figure out the movement.

Once DS did his first roll it was a month before he did it again and then it was only one more time. Then he learned to sit and that is all he did. Once he started crawling then he started to roll more. He's 21 months now and has no problem rolling, I guess it just didn't interest him as a baby.

My husband never crawled and went straight to walking... My mom tried to tell me that was a sign of something bad, and I had to proceed to tell her she was wrong obviously because DH is a thriving, successful 29 year old man! I think all kids are going to be a little different...

So my lo is almost six months and refuses to rollover. She's done it once, in late October, and every tummy time since has been a nightmare. She has a very strong back/legs, has been sitting unassisted for a few weeks, and will even stand for a little while if she's holding on to something. Her cousin who is a month younger is now rolling, and while I know I shouldn't be comparing, I'm just really confused why she won't do this. It genuinely seems like she doesn't want to rather than can't.

Anyone else's baby go out of order with milestones?
