Oh my goodness, that sounds awful! I'm so sorry and really hope you start feeling better soon! It's not whooping cough is it? I'm not sure of the exact symptoms but maybe worth looking into to just to be safe.

Have you tried using a humidifier at night? Would that help do you think? We have one that has a place to add Vicks so the steam is a Vicks steam that apparently is meant to open up the airways a bit better. We haven't used it yet but it's supposed to work pretty well.

Regardless, I just wanted to say I'm sorry that you're feeling so miserable and really hope you start feeling better soon!

Thanks! I just keep hoping that the next day when I wake up, I'll at least feel better, not worse. Right now, I'm breathing shallowly so as to not trigger the cough. I'm scared of coughing. Man, I sound like a wuss.

Never been sick where I couldn't have NyQuil either. Man, I miss that stuff. Anyone else been crazy sick while pregnant? How do you cope?

I have caught something nasty. As in, I can't cough without holding on to something because it hurts so bad. My head hurts, my throat hurts, and sleeping is hit or miss. On top of everything else, it is the busiest time of the year at work, and I'm trying to convince my current boss that he should keep me in the promotion he gave me when my old boss got fired. I've been to the doc, and he told me to take claritin, robitussin and tylenol. Which did nothing. Finally convinced my baby doc that I'm miserable, so she prescribed cough syrup with codeine so I can at least sleep. It kind of works. And I don't like that it makes me feel woozy.

Poor baby girl has got to be getting knocked all over the place with all of this coughing, and I can't imagine that the cough syrup is her favorite - I keep having visions of the scene from Look Who's Talking when they give Kirstie Ally the drugs and the baby starts tripping.

I would give anything to feel normal right now. I haven't been this sick in about 8 years, and I am so incredibly miserable. I can't believe it's happening now. Sorry for the whine....
